MUSIC OF THE WEST AFRICAN KORA:  The kora is traditionally played by oral historians known as Griots, often called Jalis or Jelis.  Many songs tell the story of war, hardship, love and loss all while presenting the history and fabric of Mande society, from which the instrument originates.

Join us for a fun evening of music and stories brought to life by the sweet sounds of the kora.

Program is free and no registration is required.  Sponsored by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

PLEASE NOTE: Library closes at 3 on Fridays.  Doors to the show will open at 6:30 p.m.
