The Annaul Used Book Sale will continue through Thursday, July 17 during regular library hours to benefit the Friends. Thousands of like new books, tapes and CDs for adults and children are for sale. Don't miss this~!

The Friends of the Wareham Free Library is a group of interested citizens who meet to offer programs and raise funds to supplement the operating budget of the library.  The Friends also seek to promote the library in the community.  If you enjoy the library and would like to work with an energetic group of people who also love books, please attend a Friends'  meeting and introduce yourself!
The Friends meet on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 7 PM in the library's Meeting Room.  Meetings are casual and refreshments are served.  Some of the activities of the Friends include the monthly and annual used book sales, the Holiday Fair, lectures and readings, and special events for children and their families.  New ideas are always welcome, so lend your support!

Membership runs from June to June, and there are a variety of categories.
Your donation is important and helps to supplement the occasional fundraisers.

that supports the work of the library in the community. Friends'
membership entitles you to attend the Preview Night of the Annual Book
Sale. Friends get first look at thousands of books for adults and children at bargain prices and enjoy a casual reception in the lobby. There is no more important time to lend your support to the Friends, which relies on your membership dues to offer programs for children and adults. Membership forms are available in the lobby of the library.

SPINNEY MEMORIAL LIBRARY BUILDING PROJECT

The Spinney Memorial Library, being developed by the Friends as a branch of the Wareham Free Library, is well underway. Fundraising has been very robust amd is ongoing, construction plans are being finalized and contractors interviewed. Hopefully, you will send groundbreaking this fall!

Library service in Onset has long been the dream of many residents. The gift to the Friends of the Victorian cottage on Onset Avenue that served as Onset's library until the 1940s has been a wonderful opportunity to begin making that dream come true. Stay tuned for updates!
