Welcome
to the Wareham Free Library
The Wareham Free Library is a public library serving a culturally
rich community that is increasingly service-oriented and tourist-dependent.
Although considered a small lilbrary by population census,
it is part of a wide network of libraries that offers materials
held locally and in other locations.
The Wareham Free Library seeks to be an integral part of the community
by providing all residents with a wide variety of popular, educational
and informational materials, resources, and services that facilitate
their daily lives from childhood through their senior years. It
seeks to promote cultural awareness and respect for the diversity
of the entire community through materials and programs. In
addition, the library aims to preserve and promote local history,
genealogical materials, and town documents to assist the local public
and visiting researchers.
The staff of the Wareham Free Library works to create an environment
that welcomes and satisfies the needs of patrons of all ages, abilities,
and cultural backgrounds, whether they are year-round or seasonal
residents. |
